Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the SAP Technical Architecture approach, including the development of Technical Architecture Road Maps and Standards, Sizing Standards, Change Control Standards.
- Work with business and project representatives to understand Technical Architecture performance, availability, and recovery requirements and translate those in agreed SLAs and KPIs
- Works with enterprise architecture, information security, application & infrastructure teams to create optimal, high level, conceptual, and cost effective designs.
- Responsible for Release an Upgrade Management Strategy, act as a key SAP Contact to maintain/develop the roadmap/process of applying notes/patches.
- Designs solutions that must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards.
- Analyses the current SAP architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement such as enhancing business processes, expanding capacity, reducing time & cost, and increasing overall effectiveness.
- Analyses technology industry, market trends and impact of SaaS/Cloud and determines the potential impact on the enterprise. Maintains relationship with SAP ecosystem vendors and maintains vendor roadmaps. Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience,
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Should be able to demonstrate and show reference examples of deep technical understanding of SAP Platform technologies such as the SAP Suite: SAP ERP/ECC, SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver with specific emphasis on PI, and UI technologies across a variety of database types.
- Demonstrable experience within SAP in Memory platform technology such as HANA.
- Be able to demonstrate experience and/or working knowledge within Amazon Web Service with Cloud Transformation experience
- Able to assess and manage technical risk and issues
- Proven ability to work creatively and forward thinking in a problem-solving environment
- Ability to communicate needs and schedules to IS and clients, as well as ensure that plans are in place and standards are adhered to
- Good oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain functional information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
- Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations
