About us
Codecool is a growing network of international coding schools in the EU. Our mission is to reinvent IT education and solve the ever growing IT talent gap of companies by giving coding careers for a wide range of people. Codecool is present in many European countries (eg. Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Austria) and we just became the biggest teaching and learning hub for digital skills in the region by merging with Software Development Academy. So far, we changed the lives of 2500+ students through coding by providing them with professional courses and career opportunities.
We are looking for a Controller who would be part of our Finance department based in Budapest. You will be supporting and solving group financial activities.
You are the ideal candidate if you have/are:
- Min. 4-5 years of experience in IFRS riporting or working at a BIG4, supporting audit related activities;
- BSc or MSc graduate in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field
- Fluent communication skills and spelling in Hungarian
- Advanced English knowledge (written and oral)
- Great at analytical thinking and advanced Excel knowledge
- A high level of attention to detail is an important key to success in this role Team player but able to work independently with minimum supervision

Responsibilities:
- Preparing the monthly Management accounts of the group and actual vs. budget comparisons
- Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS
- Involvement in the annual (big 4) audit processes
- Managing intercompany transactions and preparing transfer pricing calculation
- Involvement in the group budgeting process
- Regular investor reporting preparation
- Providing key stakeholders with professional guidance and alternative solutions to support business decisions Assistance to M&A transactions
