A Spanish Teacher is required for August 2023, in the longest established British School in Hungary, founded in 1994, in the buzzing, vibrant, exciting capital city of Hungary, Budapest!
The school itself is part of an education group with schools all over the world, with a team that will really go out of their way to look after you – an extremely friendly environment to work in.
It is an all through school that is smaller with only 430 students, with an average class size of around 20-24 students, less than 10 in year 10/11 and 3 or 4 in A level – you really can put all of your effort into your teaching instead of crowd control and the students are fantastic.
The have recently had an extension built, which has 2 brand new specialist science labs within, making your teaching even more motivating and exciting, for both you and the students.
Budapest is an absolutely incredible city, with everything you could possibly want, from music to culture, sport, opera, nightlife, architecture and a fantastic spot to be if you like to travel – 4 hour drive to Croatia, 2 hours to Austria, Montenegro and so much more.
A third of Hungary’s population live in Budapest (1.7 million) and its no surprise – beautiful villages and lakes, grand prix, football stadiums, parks, zoos – there really is something for everyone.
The school also organise school socials for the staff at the beginning of the academic year, Christmas and at the end of the year. Ski trips have previously been organised, trips to Vienna and lots of others.
Public transport is also brilliant and very cheap - you can’t go around the corner without a bus, tram and an underground, making that commute to work and daily travel so much easier.
The cost of living in Budapest is lower than the UK and school provide you with your meals, so you don’t even need to worry about meal preparation during the week or spending money on it either!
You will also be provided with a relocation allowance when you land of around £800, to help you land on your feet very easily, when you first get there.
